It was exciting to welcome back our grade 9s and meet our new grade 8s this morning. What a great bunch of young people!
We sent home packages of documents with them today – some are for reviewing and some are for returning. Here’s what you can expect to find in the package:
- Registration Form (Grade 8) / Information Verification Form (Grade 9) – complete and return Monday to homeroom teachers for collection
- Offsite Activities Form – complete and return
- Internet Usage Policy – review and return signature sheet
- Code of Conduct – review and return signature sheet
- Elective Selections – return
- School Supply List
- School Calendar
- Bell Schedule
- Block Rotation
In addition to these documents, the package also includes a copy of the letter posted on August 31 explaining Stage 2 and learning groups and also our revised GRSS COVID procedures document for your information. The students received a student version of this during orientation and we are asking them to review at home as there will be a review in homerooms on Monday morning to see if things are clear and answer any questions that have come up since orientation.
Tomorrow’s orientation with our grades 10, 11, and 12 students will follow the same format as today and will take place from 10:00am to 11:30am.
